People must not join public service to enrich themselves but to serve the people and have to sacrifice for the prestige as a leader. However, because of too much spending during campaigns, politicians when elected always wanted to corrupt the government coffers to get back what they spent for the campaign. Thus, too much campaign spending mush be eliminated.

Their duty is to serve the interests of those who elected them, which they are not doing on either side. The solution would be to reform campaign finance, eliminate special interest groups and their associated lobbyists, and limit congressional terms. Just my opinion.

The get elected based on their 'promise' to be good civil servants. When they fail to adhere to their promises, it is the duty of the voter to hold them to a higher standard. Since our taxes goes toward paying their salary [allegedly if you exlcude the lobbyist cash flow ;)] - we have a right to demand appropriate change. Failure to do so warrants our removal of the elected official from office. Think of it this way. If you fail to meet guidelines with your employer, they will terminate your employment right? Same holds true for those who are elected [paid] civil public servants.

Yes they are undermining the best interests of the American people who they are to REPRESENT. Some good ones are there.
One thing is to e-mail, call or write with the promise of not re-electing them again. We must do something or we will be in a different USA-the North American Union for example.
