Well I don't reallly know what the question is...Jack Russells are very active dogs that need plenty of exercise and a place to run. I would start doing walks in the morning and evening and if you have a dog park or a safe place for him to run, try taking him there. WIth such a hyper dog, you really need to keep up on the exercise or things are not going to improve for either you or your pet. If you are unable to be with him this much and walk him, then I suggest finding a doggie daycare where he will get the exercise/attention that he needs.

I would enroll him in some agility or competitive training competition. These dogs are super smart and if you don't give them a job to do, they WILL find/make-up one of their own--and I guarantee you won't like it. Past examples from neighbors who own Jack Russel are: shred all the tubing going into the AC Unit, shred the pillows on the couch, shred all the paper you can reach, chew up children's toys, chew up owners' shoes, etc. Give 'em a task to do and plenty of training and he'll be fine. Good luck!

Ah yes. the Jack Russell. Bouncy dogs. Very bouncy dogs. Needs lots of exercise.

That's his nature. Get used to it. Enjoy it.

Next time get a more mellow-minde dog. Like an older dog from a shelter.

Jack Russells have a huge personality! :) Take a deep breath and look into his big brown eyes and you will be fine. :)

Good luck! :)

GROAN! I have a 5 yo female that is half jack russell half austrailian shepherd. She has always been nervous but it seems like her nervous system is deteriorating, plus the dr just told me to get rid of her because she is making my asthma worse. I will never own another one of these dogs!!
