Everyone generally needs to have eye doctors appointments and eye tests done at least once per year.

Some people who have vision problems may actually needed to be tested more frequently because of subtle changes in their vision.

I was a premie when I was born, and due to the fact that I was placed in an incubator in oxygen without eye protection, I have had associated vision problems all of my life. I have worn eyeglasses since the age of two, and had multiple eye surgeries for eye muscle weakness before I was a teenager.

I have to have eye checkups and tests done twice a year due to all these factors, and this is decades later.

It is especially important to have children's eyes tested as their eyes can change quickly as they are growing.

I get my kids eyes checked every year before the new school year starts that way if anything is wrong they don't havet o find out by having a hard time seeing in school and I nip it in the bud. Every year is a best bet.

I can't remember what my pediatrician said about it. My daughter had her vision and hearing tests at her 4 year checkup. I think she said every other year if everything was a-ok then and if I didn't have any concerns next year.

I have 2 kids and my daughter has bad eyes and i get her eyes checked every 6months...but if your kids eyes are healthy and have no problems i would say once a year!!!!!

every year or two years. my son got glasses in feb 06 and needed a higher prescription in feb 07. he is 6. it varies according the family genes.
