Ignorance is the Problem, not Islam. and I agree the US has been crying victim for years.
Yes, 9/11 was a horrible tragedy, and thousands of people, from many different ethnicities, died.
But think about how many innocent Palestinians, Lebanese, and Iraqis that die everyday. No one is creating a memorial for them.
Maybe if you would do a little research you would know whats going on in world outside of the the US and then maybe you might gain some understanding.
