I think it is OK as long as you are not taking the Bible too far out of context and putting your own spin on the story. I have seen many stories about the Bible in play and movie form. Most are good. Few can not get with.

Yeah it is ok. I wouldn't know why it wouldn't be ok since your reading the bible and people talk about the bible all the time. So movies and plays aren't any different and it could be educational for some people. So I think it is ok.

Yes, because sometimes that is the only way some people may witness / experience any thing of God. They will look further to get to know him.

The movies need to remain as close to the facts and information in the Bible as possible. There are a few out there that are a waste of plastic.

I think it's okay as long as the movie stays with the Bible & doesn't try to make fun of God.

I think you should not make bible stories unless you have the right budget to make an accurate historical version.

I saw some TBN crap called one night with the king which was about ester and it was horrid.

Mel Gibson did it well.

With a disclaimer that it is the director & writer's perspective...and as long as that hack Mel Gibson doesn't get ahold of it. It just breeds misconceptions on many levels...the Maya, Jews, Christians, Scotland, the Revolution, etc. You have to be aware that people tend to believe what they see & hear. It's that mentality that has created our society today. If TV says it, hey, it's gotta be ok!

I think so. Even if it's not exactly correct, it will get people talking about the Bible and God and it's a great way to reach out to people.

I hate to get another person's judgement for them as, especially and particularly in this, the things one does best are those one does for oneself.

Personally, and amid a wealth of scriptural confirmation, I'm dead set against it.

Matter of fact, movies, plays, images, are horrendously inadequate to convey the inexhaustibly vast content contained in those unobtrusive pages of rice paper and ink.

Why settle for a squeaky - anemic answer is my attitude!

Sure is. I grew up learning what Christ did for us when he died.
But i never understood it untill watchin the passion.

To see what this man went through it changed my perspective on many things.. like why i fight so hard to see GOD put back in schools and in goverment.
