We exhale CO2 when we inhale O2. This CO2 is absorbed by the plants and coverted back to O2 by photosynthesis. If we consume more O2, we exhale more CO2 and then the plants in turn produce more O2.
This is all part of the balanced CO2 cycle between presently living plants and animals.

The only thing that makes oxygen less potent is where you live and the traffic around it. Obviously you wouldn't want to live in LA or Las Vegas if you are worried about how much oxygen you are taking in. There is so much smog in those cities it is rediculous. I should know, I have lived in both. I still live in Vegas... But, I consistantly have sinus infections due to the quality of air.
It is not that we are running out of oxygen, trees take more out of the air than co2. They are natural filters eating tons of differant gases that are released in the atmosphere. The constant dwindling of our rain forrests and trees (our natural filters) just means that we are breathing in more toxins than we should...
It doesn't mean to stop living.
Just plant some trees, bushes, whatever, and plant everywhere. It will just help your air quality in the long run.

Of course the balance of the two is always shifting. Politicians have the duties to protect us, by making laws. However every single citizen should take up a quest for trees. More trees should be planted everywhere.
Traveling throughout Europe some friends and I were amazed to see that every inch of land is covered with trees and other vegetation. Traveling through America is possible to see that many spots of land are bare and could be planted with trees. Along the railways and highways, along the city streets, in our yards, around public buildings, every where there is a patch of soil that could sustain the growth of a tree there a tree should be planted.

Andrew, as long as the earth has been here there have been ice ages, forests destroyed by fires caused by lightning all sort of things prone to happen in "nature." I read somewhere that the vast majority of our atmosphere has more to do with much of our planet being covered by water. Remember, there is oxygen in water and it evaporates into the air. Man is apart of nature and has been for thousands of years. If we have not destroyed our planet by cutting down trees to build shelter or clearing fields to raise cattle I doubt
we will. Nuclear weapons pose a greater threat than all the forests being burned down at once. Man would survive. If nuclear weapons are used on a large scale nothing will survive.

Andrew, you are one dumb sob. We could cut down every tree on earth and have plenty of oxygen to breath. You know why, sheep? Because most of the oxygen produced does not come from trees. It comes from the ocean and the plankton in it. The first 200 feet of water has tons of plankton that produce way more oxygen than a tree. One square foot of ocean producing more oxygen than one tree. You know how big the oceans are? You do the math. There are also more trees in america today than when comlubus found america, did you know that? I bet you didn't catch that in propaganda you watch. Grow up and think for yourself you sheep.

I think that both are vital issues to be addressed by each American. I realize that as some of you already do, that we are expanding our citities. Why? When there doesn't seem to be enough people living in the cities. You have vacant homes, apartments, and condos all over the place.
I think that government, state government, city government, land developers, and landlords need to reassess the housing issue. There is enough homeless people here in the United States, that could have a home if someone would be willing to give up some of their greed for the almighty greenback.
If they did that, the cities would not need to expand, they could instead replant. By replanting, we would ensure the quality of life as we know it. All it takes is one person to be willing to do their part.

Obviously, the oxygen supply is greater or we wouldn't all be here right now. Do your part by planting trees and other plants around you. It's great that you are thinking about these things.

There is plenty of oxygen, believe me. U need to go out driving down country roads, plenty of green and trees are around.
Oxygen comes from trees, plants, grasses.
Put some houseplants in your home, u have more oxygen.
