Excuse me! They have been throwing trash at Gordon long before he broke any Earnhardt records. Jrs. true fan base has nothing to do with that. Jr. asked the fans in general not to be throwing anything. It's always the rude few that messes everything up for the real fans of this awesome sport.

I don't give the beer throwers a second thought to me they are just band wagon boys they only throw things to hear about themselves on the news so they can tell there friends that they are on the news. Real Jr and Sr fans respect all drivers but root for the Earnhardt's. My favorite driver is Junior but i like seeing Mark Martin,Stewart,Burton and a few other guys do good. I am a racing fan and i don't give a crap about the beer chunkers as far as i am concerned they should ban anybody who throws anything on the track before during and after the race for life.

I do not think that it is just Jef Gordon fans who lost respect for Jr 's fans, most of nascar fans who have been hit or had to watch these "fans" throw beer cans and then walk away without any regard to who they hit or how they look. I saw a picture of a kid that got hit because one drunk, I mean fan could not make it 30 or 40 rows to the track. Being that they had a tony stewart shirt on, I bet they will have no respect either for them.

KiKompt. To say Gordon sucks, Gordon wins=78 Jr=17, by the way, when did he last win a race. I am surprised that the redneck throw beer. When did they start throwing away beer like that wasting a nice cold one. I didn't think they could afford to waste beer or would want to to. I guess the Wal-Mart or the Piggly Wiggly they work at pays more than I thought Oh yeah one more thing KiKompt Jr still sucks!!!!!!

Sadly; like in most cases the load minority ruin it for the silent majority. I know alot of Junior Fans and I am a Gordon Fan; and for the most part Junior Fans and Gordon Fans respect each other and raz each other in a friendly manner as most friends do.
Unfortunately there are some Junior Fans who should be required by law to have license to be out in public or even get on the internet. Especially the ones who are so "Dee Dee Dee" that all they can say is that Gordon is Gay. Every Driver has that small percentage of Fans who are severely Dee Dee Dee; but Junior's Dee Dee Dee's are the most biligerent, foul mouthed, uneducated, pack of wild inbred hillbillies the world has ever seen.
If I was Junior I would pay this small band of Dee Dee Dee's to find another Driver; like Kurt Busch. I feel sorry for Junior to have such Fans who have tainted the reputation of his Normal Fans and him.
Most people who don't know NASCAR now associate Junior with beer tossing and stupidity because of these Dee Dee Dee's. Normal Junior Fans everywhere need to unite and shout these Dee Dee Dee's down. You and your Driver, and NASCAR deserve better then these Dee Dee Dee's.

I agree with tregosteevo, that was funny.
Unfortunatley the Jr Nation did get the blame or bad press for the whole incident and it is discouraging as a Jr fan.
But I'm sure there were other Gordon haters or simply dumb drunks looking for any excuse to cause a riot without any thought to who might get hurt.
It's such a shame.

if you claim to be true jr fans, then you surely know where he came from and who his father was. it is great to root for someone and really cheer him on. and if you don't like gordon, that is fine. but what you must realize is that dale sr taught jeff alot of what he knows on and off the track. that is why jeff is such a good driver. they were great friends, business partners, and had alot of respect for each other. dale sr saw alot of potential in jeff and knew that someday, his records would fall. so tell me, how do you think dale sr would feel about some people throwing stuff at jeff or other drivers when they have success? i might root for jeff, but i was a big dale sr fan and i don't think he would approve of that behavior. p.s dale sr always told jeff "whether they are booing you or cheering you, it is when you don't hear anything, they are not acknowleging you".

Why do you say it was all Jr. fans? Like they are the only ones who dislike Jeff Gordon! I know for a fact that they weren't all his fans throwing things, although I will admit there were more from his fan base than anyone else's. Its ignorant people like you who lump those people together but the fact remains they represent a very small population of the Junior Nation...

The thing that makes me furious is the senseless waste of GOOD BEER. It is un American to waste such a beautiful thirst quencher. Not only that it is going to inhibit our beer freedoms we enjoy at most tracks, the right to bring in and drink the cheap beer of our choice. The people that are ignorant of Sr and Gordon's friendship are apparently ignorant to the thought that they will ban carry ins someday if their senseless actions continue.

The jr fans only prove their low I.Q. with every can they throw. It shows that they are not true fans of the sport and just a bunch of drunks.
