I know this sounds cheesy...but wait! Unless you've got a ring on your finger saying that they're yours and yours only, don't do it. My husband and I waited and we don't regret it one bit. We were together almost 4 years before we were married and it made our wedding night that much more special.

If you're in love, you can't get the beloved off your mind. You daydream constantly about the other, and most likely feel elated every time you kiss.
Legally speaking, each state (and country) has an age of consent, when the law recognizes that you have the right to consent to sex. In most states in the US this age is 18, but in a few states it's 17 or even 16. Pay attention to the law.
Sex is an intimate act. You have to judge how intimate you want to be - and if you decide to go all the way, don't forget to use condoms and/or another method of birth control, because having a kid at 17 is no joke.

Being ready to have sex is one thing. Anyone cna have sex. It's a matter of what you believe is right.
Personally, I think sex should be reserved unitl you are positive that this person is "the one." Otherwise you are just giving yourself away like a handout. Too many girls do that. It's too easy and, quite honestly, really gross.
Be sure that this person is someone you could spend the rest of your life with. Otherwise all you'll end up with is a deep regret that will carry on for the rest of your life.

You are ready when you are either married or ready to jump into the world of HIV and other serious STD's. Bottom line is you never really know if someone is safe no matter what they say. Condoms are not effective enough to risk some of the diseases that are out of control in teenagers. Like HIV and AIDS. Now days I would not even consider sex . I don't understand now days why young women are so free to give their beautiful healthy bodies to guys with raging hormones and sex drives. Respect yourself and save it for later in life. It is not worth the risk physically or mentally. Ask yourself is this one time having sex worth the consequence of a life long disease or a deadly disease.

Hey, I believe every single girl has ask themselves th at. When you are ready to make love to a guy, it will just happen. You will feel it in your heart and body. It will just feel perfect and you should never plan it. Don't let your first time be in a car and with some guy who doesnt even truly know you. Speaking for experience! But when you find that guy that means everything to you. It will happen and it will be great. Don't rush and dont do it to please him. Good luck

if you have to ask, you are not ready.
if there is even the slightest doubt in your mind....
you are not ready.
and if he pressures you in any way....
you don't want it with him.
trust someone who learned the hard way.
