should I request my doc to do? He doesn't believe in EMG/NCV's.

I have peripheral neuropathy, muscle spasms, etc and it's getting worse.

My blood work flip flops with the RF, and thyroid.

I haven't had any testing (other than blood work) in a year. The last mri's showed arthritis in my spine....

the doctor is your employee. If he doesn't want to do what you want, switch to a doctor who will do what you need. Don't waste time.

I would change my doctor,whether he believes in Emgs or nerve conductions is irrelevent.Demand these tests you could also ask for an Eeg,Lumber Puncture,nerve + muscle biopsies,more Mris,Ct-scans.He cannot refuse you as it is upto him to make your life pain free as possible.Go to this website for more info.=http:www.npnc.org/main/phpBB2..Hope this helps,From 1 sufferer to another...Liz M.

Ask for a referral to a neurologist. Then, after you get it, find another family doctor.

I'd switch doctors right away.
