Whatever you choose to do, make sure that it is something you can sustain for the long term, or else the weight will come right back.

I went on the Zone diet 10 years ago. I dropped a pound a week for six months, stabilizing at 160 (I'm a 5'9" guy) My cholesterol levels also dropped 100 points. 10 years later I'm still "in the zone", my weight is still 160, and my cholesterol is still 150.

I was exercising all along, about an hour a day five days a week, and the weight didn't come off until I got the diet right.

Good luck!

Cut back your excercise to 4-5 days a week. Also throw in a "cheat meal" once every other week where you eat something higher in calories to trick your system into thinking it is going to have an abundance of calories. Also lift weights. Addding some muscle will require you to take in more calories and protein to maintain the same body weight, if you keep eating the same you will start burning fat. Also try increasing your fiber intake, as gross as this sounds. It will help your body process what you put into it better.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Most people have the same work out and that is good that the work out, but the muscle groups get use to their part and growth or wieght loss stops, you need to mix up your work out and try something different, its called"muscle confussion" it really works. I am a 27 year old male and I was almost 210 at 5'9" that didnt feel good. I started the power 90 work out and in 9-10 weeks I was 170 it is an awsome work out, Good luck
