Everything is ok in moderation. I work out religiously and cook very healthy foods but that doesn't mean that at the neighbors barbeque I'm not going to have a piece of their home made cheesecake.
You have to be moderate about what you eat. Fast food is really NOT ok. Once you weed out things like soda, chips, fast food you'll see a drastic difference.
For the most part if the food is pre packaged and too "convenient" it's probably loaded in calories.

Just read labels and don't over do it

First of all - don't despair.

It all comes down to metabolism. Some have a very fast one, they can eat sweets and fast food alright. The others, like you and me, gotta watch their calorie intake.

If you eat less calories than you need, then you lose weight. It's as simple as that. So indulge in fruits (sweet and juicy!), veggies and grains. And water, of course. At least two big bottles. Try a foreign cuisine - Greek(good for you heart) or Chinese (not the- is pretty healthy.

Is the chocolate bar really worth it? You can have some delight, but don't stuff yourself. You'll regret it anyway.

People are not pressuring you to eat the high-cal foods, are they? So don't give a damn about them. You don't need the sugar. You can do this.

Don't hate yourself. You're overweight, but that doesn't make you weaker or inferior.

Exercise regularly (swimming, cycling or aqua fitness works great), eat more healthy foods, lead an interesting and active life.

Blessed be.

Not exactly sure what you mean by "control high calorie food".

A Calorie is a Calorie. If you eat too many, you will gain weight, if you eat too few you will lose weight - with the caveat that if you eat too few your metabolism will slow down.

The thing I found that helped is learning to eat slower so you know when you are full. Also, if eating out at a restaurant, don't finish the entire meal. They give you more than a serving, so it's OK to take a doggy-bag or throw out what's left. After a while of eating less than you are used to your body will get used to it and the hunger pangs will subside - it does take some time though.

You can eat what others are eating, you just can't eat so much of them. Be realistic about how much you're eating, and keep track of how many calories you eat during a day. Depending on how active you are, you can eat anywhere between 1200 and 1500 calories a day. If you exercise a lot you may be able to eat more than that. In order to be healthy, you should exercise about 30 minutes a day.

When you first begin dieting, it's very hard to watch others around you gorge on foods that you love. Remember that dieting is about a lifestyle change, and you need to have a postive attitude about it for it to work. If you restrict yourself completely, you will eventually feel deprieved. This will cause you to binge.

Now, when you are first dietig, stay away from eating out or being around others who like to eat fatty foods. You can't control what others eat, nor should you, so eventually you need to learn to control yourself, but for now while you are starting, it's easier to stay away from it until you build healthy habits (It takes about 30 days to build a habit so aim for that). Don't keep food in the house you know you love to eat but is bad for you, like chips or chocoalte.

Once you have been eating healthy for a while, it will be easier to go out with others. Remember to make healthy choices, like order the salad with the dressing (low fat) on the side instead of fries. Choose chicken and fish insted of beef, and avoid creams and sauces. It's all about choice. You can turn a healthy salad into a very high calorie and fatty salad in seconds with the choices you make.

Also note that many of the foods you love to eat you can still eat. Just modify them. For example, if you love burgers, buy yourelf extra lean ground beef, and use whole wheat crumpets as bread. Limit the cheese to 1 oz (cheddar) or none, and fill it with veggies. Voila! You can enjoy a healthy burger. Many of the things you love to eat can be modified, and it's all about bieng creative and trying new things. Do you love desserts? There are many low fat, low cal ice creams and muffins out there you can make or buy.

Once you are eating heathy, you won't want those fatty foods anymore becuase of the way they'll make you feel. Remember to allow yourself the ocassional treat, in moderation. And don't forget to exercise!

you have to stop setting your standards based on what other people do. You have to stop blaming others for your own actions. You have to look within for the true desires of your heart and then pursue them. If that means losing weight, then look within for the motivation and determination to do so, and stop looking elsewhere for all the wrong things.

If you really want to get healthy, then when you are ready, you won't want those high-calorie/fat foods. If you keep eating them---then you LIKE being fat. When people are miserable enough and sick and tired of being sick and tired...then they make the changes that are needed in their lives.

Are you ready to make the changes?
