i have many friends but would rather be alone one min. i could be happy and the next i want to cry. is this depression???and if so is there any way out other then pills???

Symptoms of depression are:

Lack of pleasant feelings
Loss of interests for the hobbies
To cry easily.
To feel constantly gloomy or sad.

It might be a bit of depression; it depends how long it continues. If for weeks on end you find you want to be alone, and you're crying a lot, then you should speak to your doctor, or go and see a counsellor.

There are remedies other than pills, and if they work for you, that's great. Try St John's Wort - be aware you can't take this if you're on the Pill. It also interacts with many other medicines and 'natural' remedies - and you can't take it if you're also taking anti depressants.

If St John's Wort doesn't help, try homeopathy. Exercise will also help you feel a bit better.

But if all else fails, and you are getting more and more miserable, then medication can help.

go see a dr and tell them about this how old are u also? women experience this more due to hormones.
