From a Trainers Perspective:
You loose naturally about 2 liters or, a little more than 8 cups, of water a day from normal body functions such as sweating and digestion. Also if you work-out or do any other strenuous work it is also recommended to consume about 13 to26 ounces (2 to 3 cups) to replenish any extra loss of fluids. Studies find that 3.0 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages is the calculated amount of water that an average male should intake daily. So increase your water in take about 2-3 glasses (13 to26 ounces). This is going to be important to your body because it will need the extra fluid to repair the damaged muscle that you get from your work out.
Personal Experience:
I don’t really believe that there is too much water that you can intake in a day especially if you are trying to lose weight, especially if you are taking ANY type of supplementation. You body will naturally vary between 3-5 lbs of water weight every day. This is why most trainers in the industry don’t use scales the measure success they use loss and gains of inches!
Good luck with your transformation! Always remember if it was easy everyone would do it.

More than likely, you'd lose about ten pounds. Maybe a couple less or a couple more. You'd be around 120 pounds. But you'd feel extremely sick if you put all those artificial things (from the diet soda) into your body when it isn't getting anything else except water. If it were me, I'd JUST drink the water, and skip the toxic diet soda. And drink like, a gallon of water a day. You'll live, but you won't feel your best. This is what I've heard, anyway. But if you (re)start eating badley after you stop fasting...You'll gain all the weight back and then some. In my opinion, unless you plan to eat better for the rest of your life after that, it's not really worth it. Stretch marks and such. Not good.

To find out how many ounces of water you should be consuming every day, multiply your bodyweight by 0.6. So if you weigh 150 pounds, you should be consuming around 90 ounces of water every day.
150 x 0.6 = 90
I know it sounds like a lot, but if you plan your day out properly it shouldn't be a problem. Keep a water bottle with you at all times and sip from it periodically. Keep water in the places where you spend most of your time: in your car, at work, on your nightstand etc.
Another good method to ensure that you drink enough water is to pre-fill a few 16 ounce bottles at the beginning of the day. This way you can have a visual representation of where your water consumption is at any point in the day.
For the first few days you'll probably find yourself running to the bathroom quite frequently, but your body will soon adapt to the increased water volume and this will no longer be a problem.
You have to drink ALOT of water before it becomes detrimental, so dont worry about that.
Also, to aid digestion, dont drink water with meals, and not for 30 mins before or after. If you do, it just inhibits digestion,
If you want to lose weight in a healthy way, I recommend "You Are What You Eat" by Dr Gillian McKeith.

First of all,Congratulations for taking your body back. It is not an easy task or road, but you will be rewarded for your hard work. Water. Water is important for our bodies for many reasons. When dieting it is especially important. You should be drinking 64 oz daily. If you like to drink water, then that's great. You will have no problems. But most people don't. Does other beverages count towards your daily water intake, yes. But you should drink water for at least 1/2 the amount of your daily intake . If you like Iced Tea. The Decaffeinated Tea will count. If you need to have sugar then of course you will need a sugar substitute. Also, Lemonade. You can get Crystal Light or one low in calories. Most water based drinks will be OK as long as they are low in calories and try to drink non-caffeine.

the rule of thumb is to drink at least half your body weight in ounces. you should drink at least 104 oz of water a day which is equal to 13 (8oz) glasses. this will keep you hydrated when working out and help shed the pounds. you'll notice too that your appetite will lessen because you'll be full on water. sometimes drinking lots of water gives us greater urge to use the restroom, but this will pass as your body gets used to the water intake AND you exercise on a regular basis, you'll be releasing water via sweat and stuff.
also, stay away from coffee and tea as they are diurectics.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

simple one ounce of water for every two pounds of body weight. if you drink a coffee or soda add an 8 ounce glass of water on top of that. Water is essential to a daily life. It helps flush toxins out of your body. It can also help curbed hunger at times.

I am on the Isagenix program (lost 23 pounds and gone down two pants sizes in 5 weeks and love it!) When on our program, they use "your ideal weight divided in two" and make that the ounces per day that you are to drink Isagenix offers a cleansing of the impurities within the body which aids in the weight loss as well as makes you feel "like a million dollars". I am 55 years old and felt like a "slug". So this program is my ideal. The videos and the success stories on www.nomorelovehandles.isagenix.com speak for themselves. If I can help you further, please feel free to contact me.
