This Phd once mentioned regarding porn that what you see outside effects the inside. So even though alot of men may enjoy watching it, it makes them less moral. Agree or disagree???

The problem with porn (and I love me some porn) is that it stimulates an area of your brain that is normally used for procreation. If you are not reproducing, then sex will be pleasurable, but you will be left with an 'emptiness' that some would classify with a reduction in morality. It is a biological problem because of the evolution of our brains. We are able to stimulate certain areas of our brain without having to perform the actual actions that have become pleasurable as a means to reproduce ourselves.

I don't think it makes men (or women) less moral.
If by morals we are talking about respecting women, being faithful, not treating women as objects, etc. then I don't think porn has an effect on it.
At the end of the day porn is fantasy. The reason it is such a turn on for many people is that it involves immoral themes that the man/woman watching it wouldn't actually want to do in real life.
To say, as some people on here have suggested, that porn causes men to commit rape and act violently is untrue. Consider the amount of men in the world who watch porn - only a very small percentage of these men will actually turn out to be rapists. I watch porn a lot and I certainly don't see it as being reality. I know that my boyfriend watches porn, and yet in reality he hates the idea of anal sex or forceful sex because he thinks it's disrespectful and 'dirty'.
There are some immoral men/women who watch porn - but I
don't think it's the porn that makes them immoral.

I do believe that porn is immoral. It has a tendency to desensitize a person to the point that in order to become satisfied they need more and more stimulation.
It is much the same as violence on TV, the more there is and the more that children watch the violence the more desensitized they become to violence, the less real it becomes for them and they become more likely to perform violent acts than otherwise. (this doesn't affect everyone the same way).

Agree. Go interview any sex offender behind bars today and ask him how deeply his life was steeped in porn. I can promise not one of them will tell you that he was disgusted by it and never viewed it. 100 years ago, porn was hard to come by and find, and we didn't have the offenders running around like we do now. It's everywhere these days and so are the offenders. Just like alcohol to the alcoholic, porn can totally destroy some people.

agree....kinda....
while it may not make them less MORAL it will definitely desensitize them. This is why men who are dating or married still look at women who pass them by on the streets or are on TV. It may cause them to have bad thoughts or be mentally unfaithful to their wives, girlfriends, or fiancés. I guess that does mean it causes them to be unmoral....and anyways. it can cause your other half to become self concious or think less of themselves...
...i don't know...this has been an issue with past boyfriends.
and in all honesty...i don't want my (husband or boyfriend or fiancé... whatever it is you have....) looking at other women and then having sex with me and picturing the women or what he had seen earlier that day or a few days ago or whatever the case. and i don't want him asking me to recreate scene's from his little porn movies....i'm not just an object for him to try moves from pornographies on....if he wants to go out and buy a book about sex techniques or how to have better sex or whatever by all means...please do so...but getting it from porno's NOT THANKS.

disagree!! What men (and some women) come up with on their own and the fantasies they create are a whole lot scarier then what they see in porn..
I have seen a few porn flicks and unless you are into beasteology or raping juveniles..most porn is pretty amusing to see..it usually makes me feel better that I am not so silly when I perform..plus it gives you new ideas to keep your relationship exciting and stimulating..
P.S. All u thumbs downers...u don't like porn do you??

I agree...especially when you start watching the hardcore stuff...it reall desensitizes you. It also promotes sex outside of marriage which encourages a lot of married men who watch it to have affairs because they become obsessed with it. There is a website called XXX Church and it has all kinds of stuff about the porn industry and spirituality.

I disagree. If you are a healthy moral man, you can enjoy porn without being corrupted. So can a woman. It's sick minds that are affected by it. The porn doesn't make you bad. Human sexuality is a beautiful thing.
Everyone I know looks at porn in some form or another (adults) and none of them acted out or became pedophiles or rapists. Get your facts straight.

Do you think guns have an effect on hunting?
Did he say things like contributes to the accelerating moral decay?
What are the effects of watching porn. He positives, (?), and negatives, which effects are more likely?
Check out the prison system, ask Ted Bundy, (well, watch the video he did just before he was executed).
