other fairy tales acknowledge that we have inner lives, and as bloody and perverse and hateful as the others show the world as having in its manifestations, the DSM does not also acknowledge beauty or virtue, which, for their flaws these others tales do
the DSM denies the aliveness of the human spirit.
the Bible and the Koran come from an age of mythic imagination. we can think of those books as products of an earlier, more child-like time.
psychiatry represents a denial of the age of myth. it lacks empathy and plays games with lives. it insists on having its way and tortures those who disagree.
so, I say, the DSM.

people can only worship something that they put ahead of God and Jesus is the one to be worshiped and the bible teaches that and gives gospel illustrations of Him being worshiped. I guess the koran and the book of mormon would come under your heading.
Jesus closed the bible saying if you add to my words you will get a curse=Revelation 22

when we turn sin/putting anything ahead of Jesus, into our salvation-something gets lost -this may help you some-I pray it will help you ALOT=best not to ask people questions about difficult things in Jesus-unless he leads you to do it.

the other part is forgetting those things behind, and pressing forward to the high calling of Christ." we initially relate to God as others -like a missing dad may have related to us in growing up-yet Jesus says once we let him into our heart-I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13
this helped me I know you are trying to serve so take from it what is good for you=from another answer and question
a true love will believe in Jesus & in honor wait for marriage and then its about choices. PEOPLE will tell you how wise they are-and its the blind leading the blind. you are into fornication not homosexuality yet still this applies=
Romans one speaks to say if we have unthankful hearts we can worship the created rather than the creator, and do it woman with woman and man with man-and turn out to have a reprobate mind that only Jesus salvation can deliver from--this is what delivered me= God can do anything-and there are lust tricks, spiritists and occultists that can counterfiet miracles too-
but till you come to faith-it was for me too-something to reject so i could live as my own god-in every way except for after death-Hell tormented forever I was going to gnashing teeth and weeping forever as Jesus describes in Revelation 19-22nd chapters along with the joy of heaven for all who believe and recieve Jesus Word of grace=undeserved favor Ephesians 2:8&9 John 12:48
this is what helped me come TO BELIEVE=Believe that Jesus tells the truth-make sure it is a real issue-like adultry the 10 commandments, homosexuality rejected in Romans 1, or whatever-and find a place that agrees with the clear teaching of the bible

this is how I came to know Jesus as my king of kings and learned true love and honor-as you wish princess-true belief would believe and recieve Jesus-and then they have the power to love everyone-heart and soul! John 3 Jesus says to repent of sin and be born again.
Revelation 1:1 & 3:19&20 Jesus speaking from heaven says "I love YOU AND KNOCK ON YOUR HEART DOOR TO COME IN WHEN YOU REPENT FROM SIN AND ASK ME IN, i WILL BE YOUR FRIEND AND YOU MINE."
I prayed, Jesus, I am sorry for my sins-even one lie, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen.
it truely worked for me.
why not believe Jesus I did and He is my best friend now too. and helps me care about all people heart and soul. The rest of this will work itself out supernaturally.
