I remember first picking this book up a few years ago. I had learned of Satanism through an obscure link from a philosophy site that I was reading. At the time, I was searching for an ideology, and found Satanism very intriguing. What is Satanism? The simple answer is that Satanism is the recognition that all of our actions are geared towards our own physical, mental, and emotional satisfaction, and that the seven cardinal sins of fundamental Christianity are at the very least necessary, and at the most virtues. Satanism is not the worship of Satan, and does not involve human or animal sacrifice. The book that defines Satanism today is Anton Szandor LaVey's The Satanic Bible
