I guess it's just that some people feel a degree of anonymity and feel they can abuse someone on an Internet forum without any repercussions. Just blow it off. And try to avoid the forums where most jerks hang out (politics, religion, vegetarian/vegan, etc)

There's an on-going study about how the anonymity of the Internet and other technologies has affected people's social skills for the worse.People just are not practicing good manners;some are not even learning how to properly interact with others on a social level!
And there's a difference between correcting someone's spelling and grammar and just being plain rude, vicious, and downright immature.Unfortunately I have noticed that there are some people here who are posting inane, rude, crude things,in their questions, answers and choosing of best answers.
People are ruder these days, and I've been on this earth for nearly a half-century!
I hope your treatments are successful! Good Luck!!

Well it is easy to be a jerk because you are not physically face to face with the person that you are answering the question for. And there really isnt any limits on here either, but also it is some peoples nature to get all smart alec and defensive espcecially when they know the answer to when they know that some one else is wrong, just so that they can be proved right.

Over the internet, people feel a certain freedom to act how they want to act without having to worry about the social etiquette they might otherwise follow in the real world. In other words, if they feel like being a jerk, by god they're going to be one, regardless of the impact. It's a sad consequence of the faceless cyberworld.
That doesn't mean you have to let it get to you, though. If they're rude, they aren't worth your time and certainly not worth your worry. That's all on them, and sooner or later it will catch up to them.

Why are they such jerks? Because they can be. We have screen names and are anonymous to each other. They can treat you any way they want and not suffer any repercussions. This is not the forum to be mean - people are asking questions or advice. I asked a medical question once and was astounded by the mean responses. Sorry that happened to you.

These days, there are rude people both on and off the internet. However, this venue lends itself to abuse because of the anonymity.
Do not let them get you down; you know who you are, a precious child of God. Those who are mean to you (and to anyone else) will get their just reward.
The best way to get people to change is to lead by example. I will be praying for your total recovery. God bless.

I'm sorry dear that people were mean to you but when people are hiding behind a computer they feel compelled to say whatever they feel. Don't take it personally, they are just being jerks.

Don't pay any attention to the jerks on here some people have to make others feel bad so they can feel good about themselves.
But most of the comments come from children who don't know any better. So don't feel bad.

I agree with you 100%.
Too many people are just cruel on here.
I'm hoping its just b/c they're ignorant kids and they have time to grow up.
But it's sad how the value of respect and consideration is diminishing in our world.
