Why would someone want to keep their dog outside in a crate 24 hours a day and never play with it?? That is animal cruelty. This is what my neighbors are doing.....why wouldn't you surrender the dog or sell it to someone who will take care of it. I don't understand people. It seems to happen a lot here it ghetto Baltimore City.

I've reported this dog to PLENTY of authorities and no one has done anything yet. I've called the police, animal control, a german shephard rescue, two news channels, the humane society, the mayor of MD, and also the contact person for our neighborhood. This city is pathetic!

I live in Baltimore City and I hate to tell you this but they probably won't do anything about it, but you already have figured this out. The taxes in the city are extremely high and the services provided to the citizens are minimal. You can do one of two things, offer the folks money to take the dog off their hands or hope illegal activity goes on there and wait for the police to raid the house, in which case the dog will be given over to the care of the SPCA . . . . .

Unfortunatly, in larger cities animal authorities are usually so busy they don't have time to investigate every complaint. If you've reported it to the proper places then there's not much else you can do.
The SPCA or local humane society will be your best bet, because police officers donot have the authority to seize the animal. They can only contact the same authorities you would.

im glad that youve seen this poor dog and are trying to help it
i hate people who do this to animals as animals dont understand what is going on
i would keep trying thats the only why you can help
unless you rang a dog warden or some one like the rspca when your neighbor is out and then they can collect it and take it to a rescue home
you are a good person for trying to help this poor creature and i hope the dog is taken away to a rescue home and that the owners see what they have done as wrong

people don't seem to think animals have feeling. My neighbors like yours keep their rather dog in a very small cage outdoors day and night.I've never seen them play or take it on a walk, just hear them yelling at the dog telling him to shut up.And to top it off this past fall they acquired a puppy that i see them playing with all the time.I feel sorry for the caged dog.i mean if they don't want him why not try to find a good home.

yes that is animal cruelty and you should report to animal control that is no way for an animal to live except a wild one . this dog is going to have physcological damage for years to come if something is not done soon . Please call and report this . I dont understand ppl sometimes either . good luck .

I think you should contact the SPCA of your community.. for you i have looked up their website.. http://www.mdspca.org/
i've seen people do this on tv.. Animal Police give them notices and if they dont respond or change then they get fined (maybe even arrested) and the pet is in the center..

if you cann't get the shelters to come to you take the problem to shelter. take pictures and video of this dog. show it to everyone who will listen. this people should not have this dog . my first thought is just to take the dog but doggie napping is bad bad. I would just keep trying put flyers up in the area saying this dog needs help please call you local shelter .

I am sorry. I don't like it when they do that. My friend adopted a greyhound who they did that to him because he was a race dog. maybe you could adopt one like that and care for it. I hope i helped.
