i just dont understand how people take the same words from the bible and make it mean more than 3000 different things. its hard for me to pick a religion because i dont know what the truth is. im very hurt by this because i really love GOD and i want to give my heart and soul to him completely but i need a church to go to so i can get baptized. im 29 and lost GOD please help me. why is this so hard to decide? i go to one church they say something different then the next church says something different. I need help please help me.... i know GOD is hurt by this also. why do this to the one person that loves us so much he gave his son for our life. WHY? WHY ?WHY?...

Blame human interpretation. Ask 12 people their opinion and get 13 different answers. Look into yourself and discover what is right for you. Not all worshipers need a church.

I was going through the same thing at your age and I thought why is this so difficult to understand? So I began to pray about it and started reading in Genesis in the bible and one by one realized that most of the teachings in the churches were lies and that most of them didn't believe the bible themselves. Those I culled out every night read a few chapters. Think about some things: Why did Psalms 37:9,10,11 Speak of the destruction of wicked people and a paradise earth? why would God let Adam and Eve and a disobedient angel ruin his masterpiece the earth.
His idea of filling this earth with righteous people never changed. Just that some people given free choice choose the wrong way. Jesus again said "The meek will inherit the earth." So god's will for this earth didn't change. Only who was going to be here did.
Some actually blaspheme God's name by making him responsible for all the bad that goes on in the earth then saying he keeps people alive just to torture them.
When Adam was clearly told in the bible that "for dust you are and to dust you will return" The other stories I think was made up to scare people into donating large sums of money. Read Proverbs 2:21 Who is leaving> Isn't it the bad people. Just read the bible for yourself and pray about finding the truth, you will find it.

In every group of people, there are going to be some who feel that they aren't getting the power or rewards they feel are due them. They will then start their own religion so they can have power over others. Look at the pilgrims. They were persecuted in Britain and in Europe, so they left to come to America where they could persecute others less powerful than them.

I think because every person explains the religion in his own way......I absolutely mean no offense but why is there different kinds of faiths in Christianity like Catholics,Orthodoxes,etc.?& all beleive in one god? where we Muslims are all the same & every one explains the religion as it is & no one is confused about what is right or wrong because every thing is explained in the Quran & any one can know about anything in the religion by reading the Quran....
We beleive in God & in Heaven & Hell...& all the muslims have the same faith..

I think its because some of us can't accept someone else's view on something that might be a bit different from ours. For them, its their way or no way.
