A crash diet is a diet which is extreme in its deprivations - typically severely restricting calorie intake. Meant to achieve rapid weight loss, a crash diet differs from outright starvation only slightly. Crash diets are typically unhealthy and are rarely - if ever - recommended by doctors or dietitians. Crash diets can lead to malnutrition, and are not a recommended means of weight loss.
After a person discontinues a crash diet, the "yo-yo effect" is often seen. This causes a person to eat far more than normal, causing them to regain both the weight that was lost due to the diet as well as additional weight. This is caused by an evolutionary trait of the human race that historically only took effect in times of famine: after a famine ended, people's bodies naturally craved to regain both the weight that was lost, plus additional weight as well, in order to protect themselves in case of another famine.
An example crash diet consists of a daily intake of 4 glasses of skim milk, 4 bananas, and 1 vitamin capsule; a boiled egg may be substituted for a banana. Also, large amounts of caffeine.
P.S. your body is protecting you by slowing down and or stopping your metabolism so that you won't kill yourself. You will only start losing weight "healthy" by eating again and exercising. Watch out for the "crash affect" mentioned above. Best of luck.

To lose weight you need to eat a balanced diet. The only thing that's going to happen on the diet you are doing right now is:
1. You will stop losing weigh
2. You will be very malnourished
3. Once you start eating again you will gain the weight back, plus some.
Eat a balanced diet that includes all the main food groups, even 'carbs'. Just eat bread and pasta that is made of whole wheat rather then bleached wheat. I lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks using this basic diet.
Breakfast ~ 2 pcs of fruit. A banana, apples, melon. It doesn't matter.
Lunch ~ A frozen diet meal that was low in calories and sodium.
3pm ~ Salad or more fruit
Dinner ~ A healthy, balanced diet consisting of whole wheat 'carb', protein (chicken or 93% ground meat, or trimmed beef) and veggies
730pm snack ~ Something that would sate my appetite for the night with low calorie content.
I drank only water and one cup of coffee, low fat milk, no sugar in the morning.
Stay away from fake sweeteners, they only make you crave real sugar even more.
I would have continued the diet, but I got pregnant. After I have my baby I plan on dieting again and breast feeding. I also counted my calories at www.fitday.com. I stayed between 750 and 1100 a day.

Your body needs to consume fat to burn fat.
When you do not eat it will use anything that you consume to store fat.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, because it gives you energy to keep going all day.
Doctors will tell you that if you want to skip a meal try skipping dinner.
(That was what I was told)
Most people get to eat dinner late and therefore your body has more time to store the food as fat.
Also exercise before you eat breakfast, but eat something light like an apple or something before you start, to give you enough energy to see the exercise through.
Exercise for about 30 minutes each morning.
Pop in some music that has a fast pace beat and get to rocking.
Drink your tea as a snack or just before you eat. Doing this will help you to lose the weight you want.
Also drink eight glasses of water a day. Try using bottled water, I was told that Propel is the best that you can get. I heard this from somewhere, but I cannot remember where. Happy losing.

You eat your tea just before going to bed so your body doesnt get the chance to burn up all the energy. Also... weight loss is really fast at the beginning (water weight) but then slows down as you get into starvation mode- your body is trying to save all the energy it can! The best way to keep your metabolism up is to eat something every 3 hours... it can be an apple or whatever. But really, to loose weight properly and keep it off takes a long time and involves a whole lifestyle change! Eating healthy balanced meals and excercising will get you there feeling alot better. Good luck

If you are only drinking tea and eating nothing, your body is starving. So you will not lose more weight until you are actually dying. Your body is trying to help you survive. What a crazy thing you are doing! It is dangerous. Start eating three small meals a day including fruit and veggies. You can still lose weight, but safely.

You're anorexic, and no it has nothing to do with your current weight but your relationship with food and eating. Not eating puts your body into starvation mode, which in turn lowers the metabolism. You also lose valuable muscle (which naturally boosts your metabolism).
Being underweight is just as unattractive and unhealthy as being overweight. Girls as young as 14 have been known to have heart attacks if they get too thin. Starvation can damage the heart and other internal organs, you're also starving your brain which feeds on glucose (found in carbs). This doesnt even begin to enter into the trouble with vitamin/mineral depletion.
You can damage your body permenantly if you keep this up. TALK TO A DOCTOR for help.

Ok, so heres the deal. For the best results in losing weight, building muscle, maintaining what ever it is your trying to do. Eating is about 75% of health and wellness. It is strongly recommended that you eat at least 5 times per day. I would recommend eating 2 egg whites mixed with 1 egg per day and maybe some whole-grain toast w/ no butter for breakfast. and about 2 hours later, eat a protein bar, I use TRIM protein bars that I get through my business, they are low in fat and high in protein, not alot of carbs. 2-3 hours later eat a small lunch, what ever it is you would like, try to avoid fatty food(doesn't seem like you have a problem there), then 2 hours again eat another protein bar, and for dinner eat something simple, like a chicken breast or maybe a salad or something. If you moderate the amount of food your eating each meal and make sure you continue to eat through out the day it will maintain a fast metabolism and you will lose weight. and if your trying to shape up, throw in some sit ups in the morning and maybe even a jog, cardio will burn the fat and sit-ups will shape up your stomach and i am pretty sure that is EVERYONE'S ultimate goal while losing weight...
P.S. never cut something out of your diet, like carbs...that is the dumbest thing you could do, you need carbs to have energy

Your body has gone into starvation mode from not getting any food at all. Your body needs at least 1,200 calories a day to keep from starvation mode. Your tea isn't turning to fat, your body is just refusing to burn the fat you already have...your not gaining...but your also not losing. You could try what I'm doing to lose weight. I eat 5-6 small meals a day (2-300 calories per meal) that equal out to 1,200 calories a day. Plus I exercize everyday. That will actually work.

you will not ever lose fat like that.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Once you dip below a certain calorie and fat count, your body goes into "starvation mode" and will store anything as fat. It is better to eat 5-6 small, healthy meals throughout the day to lose weight: this keeps your metabolism up and gives your body something to burn. A 'meal' could consist of a handful of carrots, or an apple.
