Is an aloe vera plant harmful to animals...like cats if they eat it?

humm, I planted a small one yesterday, and when I got home my cats had chewed on it...so if they get sick, its not my fault!!!
(But I hope they dont!)

YES ALOE VERA is poisonous to cats (toxic)

No, but they hate it. I used it on my cat for minor burns from a broken water pipe. Kept her from licking it and she healed pretty well. The worst that the cat will get is diarrhea.

it's actually very good for drinking when boiled..........only use the jelly inside and cut into cubes........add sugar and water to boil...............it's good to drink and it's one of the best health drink around...........
