It isn't genuine love it's an affectation- a fantasy that exists in their minds. Half them love themselves too much to ever love anyone else.

It's not just Christians, it's everyone. Why Love each other?
Because we are really one, one entity, though it may appear otherwise. Love heals, gives, feels good, etc. What you send out, comes back to you (karma), why because we are one.

When you love someone, how do you feel about yourself and the world? Do you feel good and carefree? What does this tell you?

When you hate someone, how do you feel about yourself and the world? Is your body more tense and stressed? What is it telling you?

Which is the better course of action?

Now it takes time, practice, patience, understanding, forgiveness, etc. to learn to love but it is well worth it.

Love God, Love Others, Love Yourself

We are made in the image of God so we must love everyone. Even Htler if he was alive.

Christ loved everyone. He got mad at ppl but he still loved them.

Your inability to do the same is a reflection of your own pride.

Satanist say you don't have to love evryone. Look it up on Wikipedia.

Its kinda sad your looking for a religion that allows you to sin without penalty.

I'm sorry, but you'll be hard pressed to find a faith that DOESN'T pronounce a gospel of love upon it's members. Love is the basic staple of a relationship with God, so how can we share with our fellow man the love that Christ shared with us if we don't believe in the concept?

It isn't natural to love our enemies. But we do it anyway. Why? Because, while we were still sinners (enemies to God), He loved us and will save us. God extends kindness to his enemies. When we receive love from God when we have done nothing to earn it, we then we have the ability to do it to other people. But that doesn't mean terrorist go unpunished. In the Bible, love isn't mushy feelings. It's hardcore. It's feeding poor people. It's not retaliating in pure hatred when we want to. God is that way to us. He will have to exercise justice on sin; that's His holiness. But take us for example. We're all sinners who don't obey God. And He justly punishes our sin. But instead of US taking the punishment, He offers a substitute. So justice is still satisfied, the punishment was still given for sin, but not on us. On Jesus. We are freed. That sort of forgiveness empowers us to be kind to our enemies, which causes them to see something unique and unexplainable in you. Many people have come to God that way. The wicked will be punished. Don't sweat that part. Just make sure you're not snubbing your nose at God's plan for you to be saved.

They say they love everybody. I got a hate filled email from a christian yesterday and it just reaffirmed that they don't all love everyone. I'm a hippie- kinda- I'm all about love. I love just about everyone. Then there's the one's who make me think that religion can't be all bad- TTC, Mr. penguin, dust in the wind, dog sneeze. They're out there.

That's not good. I would do everything in your power to change that because if you don't it could be critical. 1 John 3:15 Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life in him. Leviticus 19:17 Do not hate your brother in your heart.

Phyllis-stop being such a troll, or I'll give you a real reason to hate Christians...I'll start praying for you.

1) Because everyone else is as much made in the image of God as you are.
2) Because God commanded it.
Matthew 5:43-44: "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you and persecute you...."
Romans 12:14: "Bless those who persecute you; bless, and do not curse."
Leviticus 19:18: "You shall not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people; but you shall love your neighbor as yourself. I am Jehovah."

God is love and as Christians we are to be like Jesus(God).
On the other hand we do not have to like everyone, there is a difference you know. You may get emotional at someones funeral but you never would have went on vacation with them.

Christians don't have to love everyone. I think this question is a ruse. You know the answer or just want to stir it up a little. But to play along with your game, GOD loves us. As we become more like him, we love others. It's not something you get in one big dose. Christianity teaches "we grow in Christ." Its a process not an event. If you care, maybe this helps, if not, GOD love you.

Yeah right, I am dripping with love from the atheists, lol. You meant that as a joke right.

We love everyone because Jesus told us to...all people...sinners, no matter what class or color...all people...NO EXCEPTIONS.

I am sorry for your grief and pain...but I love you anyway.
