I asked 2 seperate questions in this section!
One addressed to religious folk asking if there was anything at all that would make them stop beliveing in God.
The other addressed to atheists asking if there was anything at all that would make them believe in God.
Out of 23 answers to each question only a couple said there was nothing at all that would change their mind.
The rest cant be very convinced can they?

Sorry folks but after 25 answers , I'm not a very 'happy chappie'!
I appreciate your answers but, what EXACTLY is this 'proof ' that you would need to change you mind, or convince you?????

i am an atheist and cant understand gullible people who can believe in anything without logical reason and unadulterated proof.i feel sorry in a way that they need to cling on to some none entity to justify their existence.their is only one almighty being in the universe and its called the power of nature.it creates and it destroys.

How can anyone claim that they are 100% convinced--NO doubts at all, ever, about something with no proof or even evidence?
Neither believers or atheists KNOW with 100% certainty that there is or isn't a God. Those who claim that they do are either lying, or in denial.
I'm an atheist, and if there was proof found of God, then I would be more than happy to say that I was wrong for not believing, and go and live my life as a believer. Right now, though, I haven't even seen a single shred of convincing evidence, let alone proof.

Jesus said that even if someone was raised from the dead, people still would not believe. Was he right, or was he right?! Lazarus was resurrected by Jesus, and some believed, but many refused to believe and still others used that miracle as an excuse to get rid of Jesus. Jesus Himself was raised from the grave and more than 500 people saw him, yet the vast majority of people at that time refused to believe. So what kind of evidence would 'work'? Nothing! Believing in God is all about faith, which is a gift from God given to those who cry out to him sincerely. How can you cry out to God if you don't believe he exists? Atheists are on a hiding to nowhere - but for the grace of God. That's what makes the difference! When God breaks through into a person's life, that's what convinces them. And God breaks through when there is a sincere, heart-felt yearning that surpasses our pride.

I didn't see your original posts, and I certainly don't know about the rest, but there is NOTHING that can make me stop believing in God. I have been through MANY trials in my life, and GOD is the ONLY one I have ALWAYS been able to depend on. He has kept EVERY promise He has ever made.

In answer to the question posted - yes, I suppose I do find it strange that somebody who claims to know Christ would say there could be something that would cause them to change their beliefs. In Revelation 3:15-17, Jesus says "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm— neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth." Christians are either totally on board or they aren't really Christians.

But I don't find it strange that an atheist would change their mind, because the TRUTH is hard to resist once it gets hold of you.

You know, if you give me solid evidence of anything I will have no choice but to accept it. I am convinced you will never find any proof of gods though.

I would not say we are not convinced, atheists and theists alike, I would say the couple that would not change their minds are quite closed minded and dogmatic

i've got completed that possibly thrice in my life. basically via fact what I suggested advance into actual and that i did no longer see any insult in letting the lady comprehend what i presumed. It wasn't a p.c.. up line, and it wasn't to get on her sturdy factor is advance into basically a assertion of certainty. If the guy advance into to assert "I actual have a espresso in my hand" it could be an analogous factor fairly. A reality, a assertion of certainty. that's what the guy did, stated a certainty that he thought must be shown to you. that's an excellent compliment. you would be able to desire to look beautiful to illicit a remark like that from a stranger.

I don't think it's strange because most people believe in God but don't have a personal relationship with Him. That was me until I finally connected with Him at a time when I realized I coudn't do what I needed by myself. That day was my proof of His existance.

I am agnostic.

If 100% of the universe and paranormal activities get a proven scientific explanation, I will stop my belief in a higher power.

If God starts to ressurect people like depicted in the scriptures, I will believe 100% in a higher power. Until then, I am just in between.

The ones that weren't 100% are just a little more open minded than the others. Obviously, if you are 99% sure, you don't really think anything is going to change, but you are willing to admit you could be wrong. I don't really think that's a bad thing.

No, it's just a poor method of getting your poll covered.

As an atheist the concept of an omnipotent creator being is illogical to me, so short of a serious head injury or lobotomy I'm not likely to change my mind either.
