If you mean lying about their kids in the sense they don't mention them, it's because they are waiting for the right time to tell someone. Would you want to go into a relationship knowing everything about a person's life? Probably not. That's part of the discovery in a relationship. You find out both the great things about a person, and you the more complicated things, (like if he had kids).
If you are talking about one man in particular, I assume he would not want to be judged so quickly based on the sole fact that he has kids. It would not be fair if you did not allow a chance to get to know him.

I havent had a problem with that, maybe your looking for the wrong type of person. Anyone who lies about there kids are pretty much sealing the fate of a relationship anyhow, I mean to start off with a lie really doesnt make a good foundation for the future.

ITS just because some guys just lie about everything and if they do this now you can tell they will probably lie about alot more too later so its better to leave them liars alone

*Because a lot of girls out there (including me) do not want any baby mama drama.* And the guy(s) know that, therefore if they really like the girl or just want to have sex or whatever...they will do whatever it takes (even if it means lying) to get what they want.
.So they lie about not having a kid or kids, then after he has sex with her, then he breaks it to her.....it's lame.

I know the answer to this one, from personal experience. I'll end up talking to someone for a long time, as soon as i mention kids and how many, women run run run. It's and automatic rejection. fun fun fun.

I would never lie about my kids (I love them to death), but I would not bring them up as a conversation starter either.

For the same reason that women do.
they are afraid that they will be eliminated from consideration once the other party finds out about their children

Maybe because they don't want you to know about their kids right away. Once, my uncle didn't tell his wife about his daughter from his last marriage and she got upset. So maybe you shouldn't get upset about it because he will eventually tell you, but he's not telling you right away because he's thriving off of fear that you might leave him if he tells you about his son or daughter. Just calm down, relax, and let him come to you. Don't try and force it out of him. Good luck!! <3
