Truman started a war in Korea, and Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953, nearly 55,000 lives were lost.....an avg. of approx. 18,300 per year. The US is not at war with the government of Iraq, we are fighting insurgents in Iraq.....big difference.

Kolo. Your name sounds Nigeria and most especially of babarbare or Nupe origin. The reason is simply because Iraq is a Muslim country arming to join the league of superpowers with ferocious intentions to attack Israel in future. This of course was intolerable to uncle Bush and his zionist cohorts. But blindly as it turns out to be America attcked Iraq not minding the consequencies and believing that Iraq would be conquered within days. it seems more like a trap now than anything else. And as providence would have it another Islamic nation, Iran, is at the brinks of joining the nuclear armament community. Thanks to the American attack on Iraq which has made US to loose credibility to convinse any country to believe whatever claims of aggression US might bring against any nation to justify support or participation of any country in the world. sai eka degi.

Korea like Iraq, did nothing to the United States, and is no actual threat to our security, Iraq is a personal vendetta by Bush, and the invasion of Iraaq was based on lies.
Now, Truman did not start the war with North Korea, that was decided by the United Nations to "stop the spread of communism" and was officially called a "police action" not a war. The US being a contributor of the UN got involved by request of the UN, and of course we lost the most in men and money.
The war in Iraq was based on what was supposed to be "iron clad proof that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction". The fact we are now fighting the so-called "insurgents" is just another excuse to be there, which of course, there were no such things as "terrorist or insurgents" until we took over Iraq.
These insurgents are for the most part Iraqi citizens that are fighting us to take back their country, of which we had occupied. This is after all, their land. not ours.
If we were to be invaded and occupied, what name would they pin on us that tried to fight them and get them out of our country? Hero's, freedom fighters, or insurgents and or terrorist?

America doesn't need to go to war with North Korea because technically we still are at war with them that's the reason for the DMZ. We are still at war with Korea because we are the world police. A two hundred year old country trying to bully the rest of the world. Didn't we learn anything from the brits and their attempts to control everything?....... Oh and someone else also tried to push their way of life on others, I think his name was Hitler. Hows aboot we fix our own god damned country and then maybe we can tell others how to live.

North Korea is basically treated by the Chinese as a state within China. So attacking North Korea would be the equivalent of attacking China.

We attacked Iraq to rid them of WMD's, or at least that's what they tell us. We didn't attack North Korea because that would be in violation of the 1953 ceasefire agreement, and to do so unilaterally wouldn't sit to well with the other nations that signed the agreement.
