Occasionally I think of very serious and life changing questions. This is one of them.

If anything beside God is eternal, doesnt that undermine the existence of a single God?

Explanation: we worship and believe in a Creator because He is the Only One who is eternal and powerful and is the sustainer of all. If the human soul, or hell or heaven or any one of those things was eternal, wouldnt that mean that they have a characteristic thats same as God? and nothing can be the same as God.

The human soul is not eternal because we are not eternal. I have not existed forever. I came into being in 1985 earth time. However if my soul out-lasts my body, then my soul is not ETERNAL but EVERLASTING. Eternal has no beginning or end. Everlasting has a beginning but not an end.

The Genesis account also clearly states that God created heaven, so it could not be eternal............. Plus it talks about a new heaven in Ezekiel I think, and Revelation as well, so it is not everlasting either.

I don't think it undermines the existence of one single God, because he's God.
Humans do have a characteristic that's the same as God's, but they are NOT God. They are simply made in God's image.

we were made in gods image so we are eternal like god. the only difference is god is spirit, we havent died and became spirit yet. if we havent turned to god in this life we will be separated from god in the next. but you still be eternal just in great torment. time doesnt function in gods realm the same as here. time here keeps us in this arena. we cant go faster than the speed of light therefore reversing time. atoms even break down over time, everything will eventually wind down.
heres a weird example: if time had influence in gods realm then we wouldnt exist because god would of waited for infinity to create us. like waiting for infinity to do the dishes it never gets done. if infinity existed it had to be created otherwise it took infinity to get to this point- impossible we would never arrive to this point today, now.

If we all come from an eternal GOD, then we are also eternal. And if GOD is all encompassing, then there is nothing beside GOD. Maybe better than to call GOD a single GOD is to rather call GOD an absolute GOD

God is sovereign over all things. To have more than one singularity would undermine the infinite one's sovereignty. Thus God is alone infinite.

But still God created us, heaven and hell,
and still he is greater than us, greater than anything.
Not the same. To be the same, you would have to possess his power, which no one can of course.
We are dependent on him, but he is self-existent.
Everything is dependent on him, not self-existent.
And we can be like God if we live as Jesus lived.
