Decide how I was going to spend it, who I'd share with & which charities I'd give to..
Then travel, travel, travel.

First I would do the woo hoo dance !!! :)
Then I would pay off all my debts! All my family's debts.
Next I would find- out who the "best" investors are and where to invest, so could virtually live off the interest.
I would buy a few homes as investments and that would allow me to have "homebases" when I travel. My travel would include finding those in need who truly need a financial boost to repair their lives.
I would anonymously help them.
Next...hire an assistant, because I would be very busy figuring out how I can best use my $$ to help find "long term solutions" to some problems in the world.
Slowly "giving it away" It would be a process...and I would enjoy.
My Life without $200 Million is wonderful as it is so I would want to help others to find peace and stability in their own lives.
Realistically I know $200 Million can't solve the worlds problems- but I do believe in "Paying it forward" and that sometimes a small act of kindness can have a profound ripple effect.

oooo, I've thought about this one alot in the past. First, I wouldn't tell ANYONE, because everyone and their cousin would want some money. I would walk out of work without a word to anyone about where I was going or anything like that. I would go straight home, pick up my son and husband. I would tell them the situation. We would go get new cell phones and pay off our lease on our house. We would let or immediate family know what happened, and that's it. Then we would put all the money in the bank, get a huge RV and travel the country (while we talked about everything we wanted to do with the money). I would give more that half of it to a charity for single working mothers that I would run myself. When we got home from our trip around the country, I'd buy a whole street development in the burbs with cute little houses and have all of my favorite people in the world as my neighbors (my sisters, brother, mom, and best friends). I would invest over half of what I had left. I would make sure my son had a totally normal, middle class life though.

First, I would research on the computer what charities need the most help. Then I would hire a very good accountant so that I could get the best advise on taxes, setting up trust funds for my nieces/nephew, etc. I would set up an altruistic funding source for the people in my area who cannot make ends meet..the ones who slip through the system because the make too much for food stamps, but not enough to afford health insurance because they are working 3 part time minimum wage jobs. I would set up a factory of some sort and reduce unemployment in this area. I would make sure my Mom's house is completely fixed for her to live in it as long as she wants to. I would send my niece to college full time. I would probably buy land and build a house for me (probably a dome house with alternative energy sourses) and I would probably buy a new car. Maybe travel...take my extended family on a cruise...give money anonymously to people who needed it (remember the TV show the Millionaire? Where people were given a million anonymously--Maybe I would not give a million, but enough to make a difference). Then I would have to think about it some more.

Well I would inform my boss I am taking the next week off. Would go pay off all my bills, call a construction company to come estimate the remodling I would have done to my house. Wait for the wife and kids to come home from school and work then take them and the rest of my family (whoever can show up) out to dinner. After that I would continue to work so to keep from getting bored. and spend the rest of my life not worrying how I am going to pay for anything ever again.
Of course I am sure there would be a family cruise thrown in there somewhere. Always wanted to go on a cruise.

200 million what?
If it is dollars you are talking about I would probably do the same thing I usually do on day 1. Once I got the money I'd make hajj, buy a new home for each of my family members, a dental office for a friend who is about to graduate dental school, provide for the poor here in Morocco.

day: get drunk off alcohol i could never afford before, eat out somewhere i could never have eaten at before, get my family together and do the same for them.
week: pay off all my bills, buy an expensive (hybrid) car, some clothes, etc, then put all the money in a high yielding interest account (that's set up to transfer 80% each years return into a separate account).
month: push my family in the right direction financially (after completely setting up my parents), then the sky's the limit. maybe travel, go to school, beach bum for a year, reading, partying. maybe do some good, join the peace crops, etc..

Today - Get a ride to go buy a car for me and a truck for my husband.
Next Week - Pay all my debts and figure out who gets what in the family & some charities. Figure out how to invest some.
Next Month - Buy a house. Then take a trip to my home state.
