I am a catholic, and when I look at your answers you spend more time talking about God than any "average" Christian. Are you looking for a proof?

Phoenix, I ma well used to not being a majority, I am a catholic who lives in the North of Ireland, but that does not make me bigoted. It is also very apparent that in Yahoo Answers atheism certainly is not the minority.
And I notice that most atheists see themselves as an authority on religion, and in a way that actually brings me a lot to smile about. I'm happy you are more enlightened than the "average" Christain and research the subject. It must be a great feeling to be an expert on something that means nothing to you.

No. But religion is something I'm very passionate about, and I've studied it extensively. It was this passion and intensity that cause me to leave Christianity, and adopt atheism.
In essence, I am a religious scholar. And like many others, the knowledge of what religion truly is has led me to understand why it is false.
That's an honest answer.
(IE - your "average" Christian is just that - someone that has "average" knowledge of a subject that he rightfully should be an expert on)
-- Edit - you are typical. I have given you no reason to insult me whatsoever, but you choose to disrespect the fact that I have an interest in religion. You are a prime example of the irrational anger and intolerance that your religion breeds. And your behavior is like a lab rat, in an atheist's eyes. You are as predictable as you are gullible.

Because I love all you ignorant delusional Christians and I want to save you from your religious delusional ignorance before you people GET US ALL KILLED! Listening to that little voice in your heads, thinking it's god and starting wars, killing abortion doctors, cutting of your babies arms, and generally acting irrationally and encouraging others to do the same!
Wake up and smell the REALITY
And by the way religious people need to Stop trying to legislate morality. I don't want to be forced to live like a Christian whether I like it or not.

I really don't understand why that is always the first explanation people look to - "Are you looking for proof?" or that we must be looking for something.
Try being not the majority for a change, and see how important the beliefs of that majority are in your life.

Entertainment. This is good stuff. I actually know A LOT of very intelligent Christians, but the ones here appear to be primarily stupid as all get-out. I enjoy reading their inane comments, it makes me feel superior.

Why would you submit to pedophiles, when you know that it is wrong, and has been going on for centuries? I do not understand your logic or reasoning for tolerating child abuse from within the clergy that you confess to.

No, you see, we've looked for proof. And that is why we're Atheist.
And as long as people are still bothering me with their god in everyday life, I'll be here with my smartass comments.
