I think we should all be able to laugh at ourselves, for sure. But if I get offended or not by someone else making the joke depends on the knowledge level of the person. If the person is well-aquainted with my beliefs and they're making an "educated" jab, I don't care. But if the person is completely ignorant, then I tend to get offended because what they're saying is usually an ignorant stereotype.

This would depend on the nature of the jest. Generally, cracks at someone else's faith are ill-intentioned, so I generally take offense when a non-Catholic jokes about my religion. Not always though. I'm not the type to attack if someone jokes about my faith, however, so even if I'm offended, it doesn't really explode into a bigger issue.

Yes. I don't think it is something you should make fun of. It is disrespectful. When you make fun of religion, spirituality or lack thereof you are attacking a persons "core". You are not just making fun of a point of view, you are making fun of the very heart of a person.

I've yet to see one question in this section that offends me. I guess I'm not easily offended, or maybe I just have a strong trust in my own beliefs.

I think it's not only okay, but welcomed. Usually jokes point out flaws in the structure of religion, which helps it not to become stagnant.

Absolutely it's ok; however, I draw the line at making disrespectful comments about God. I joke about my religious beliefs all the time, because I understand how strange they sound to unbelievers.

For example, I believe Christians will soon be Raptured. Yet, I asked this question:

Making fun--No! Telling jokes that gently poke fun at the idiosyncrasies of its mythology or the foibles of its practitioners is ok.

Love covers a multitude of sins; but God will deal with those who mock Him, and it won't be pretty!

I try to pray the same prayer that Jesus did when He was being mocked / tortured / crucified: "Father forgive them, they know not what they do."

Not at all. The only Q&A's I seen on this forum that I find offensive are blatant bigotry. They tend to set me off a bit.
