It's not something I'd buy, but if it reaches one soul for God, it is a worthy effort. There's a lot of cheesey, gimicky nonsense out there, but if it was done with the right intent and with a reasonable amount of respect (just because I'm a Christian does not mean I've had my sense of humor surgically removed) then it's all good. You will always find someone who thinks any thing is blasphemous and in poor taste. I personally enjoy 'sightseeing from the edge of good taste' and the expansive view it offers. If I don't like what I see, I look elsewhere. Rap on with You're funky devine Self, Lord!

In man's wisdom it sounds good...but is it really wise?
I think not. There's too much materialism that has invaded the church, and even invited in.
Should we use the ways and methods of the world to reach those in the world in order to save them from the world?
Some things ought not to be.
It is yet just another gimmick that A. Will not work, and B., Cheapens the Gospel.
The Gospel is NOT some other product or accessory that people can add into their lives...it IS life.

Many would consider it disrespectful, if not downright blasphemous. But I have heard of Jesus-oriented rap music, and there has certainly been religious music in every style over the centuries. "Jesus Christ, Superstar" and "Godspell" from my generation, plenty of others over time. I believe Bob Dylan did an entire album. And don't forget the Dead's "Blues for Allah," which is quite beautiful. Have you ever heard "Mass in F Minor" by the Moby Grape? Awesome!

This has got to be the most ridiculous idea I ever heard. Rap is the embodiment of all that is wrong with society today. It perpetuates violence, degrades women, glorifies materialism and greed. And all that's just the tip of the iceberg! No Jesus connection there!!! Are you INSANE??!?

Umm...no. Real people witnessing is the best. Anyway, Carman and DC talk already have the rappin' Jesus thing down for the younger generation - it's been working pretty well for years!

pay attention and consider His elementary notice. Romans 10:17 " So then faith cometh by way of listening to, and listening to by way of the notice of God." Hebrews 4:12 " For the notice of God is rapid, and useful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the strategies and intents of the guts." hit upon a bible believing church on your section to attend . Gods grace is available to all; in the event that they're going to have faith yet, it takes a in seek of heart and a listening to soul to discover it.

And how is that different to dressing up Osama Bin Laden as some sort of hero?
How about you just leave Jesus as he is and just work with what you've got. I thought faith was about belief, not marketting your religion to attract others.
