When you die you die (not concious) and that's what the Bible say's (Psalms 146:3-4). To believe anything else, like having an eternal soul inside, is believing in the original lie that Satan said, 'that we won't die' (Genesis 3:4). Your soul is actually your body (Genesis 2:7).
The only hope for the majority of people is to be resurrected back onto the earth after Armageddon (John 5:28-29). Eventually getting back to the original plan before Adam and Eve sinned (Isaiah 55:11). To fill the earth with perfect humans, and live forever in paradise (Psalms 37:29).
Psalms 146:3-4
Do not put YOUR trust in nobles,
Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs.
His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground;
In that day his thoughts do perish.
Genesis 3:4
At this the serpent said to the woman: “YOU positively will not die.
Genesis 2:7
And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul.
John 5:28-29
Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
Isaiah 55:11
so my word that goes forth from my mouth will prove to be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly do that in which I have delighted, and it will have certain success in that for which I have sent it.
Psalms 37:29
The righteous themselves will possess the earth,
And they will reside forever upon it.

There is a pediatrician who has done a clinical study on children's near death experiences and wrote a book. It's called, "Closer to the Light" by Melvin Morse, M.D. Because children are young, they may not have predetermined thoughts or beliefs, which makes it even more credible in my opinion. Another book by Maurice Rawlings, M.D., includes near death experiences in Hell. "To Hell and Back" is not a religious book, even though it is about life after death. Dr. Rawlings is a cardiologist. Dr. Rawlings writes of the experiences of his own patients brought back to life. Dr. Rawlings was an agnostic until he witnessed these experiences and the dramatic effects caused by them.

Wherever you go after you die depends on how you lived your life. If you died with unfinished business, I truely believe you're spirit stays behind in a ghostly form until it's solved. Some spirits never reach the light. Those who do reach the light, I believe there's a bountiful place waiting with God.
ugh, that sounded SO corny, but whatever. lol

There is life after death. The soul and spirit leave the body and go to Heaven or hell to await judgment, where we will get a new body, suitable for where it will spend eternity.

Your body dies but not your soul. What happens to that depends on how you've lead your life, & I dont mean sexualiyt or anything like that, More about how you treated others!

Nothing. It's over.
This scares some people so much they make up stories about a magical fairy granting people eternal life.
We call these stories "religion".
