Yes - Juan is a pretty name- but if you say it with an American accent - it is kind of harsh, nasal, and ugly - "Waan." But in Spanish it rolls nicely from the mouth - "whon", and it sounds sensual. Hopefully, those who use Juan's name most often say it properly...

Juan = John, meaning it's a pretty common name in Spanish-speaking countries

I like it when it comes with a middle name, like Juan José or Juan Pablo :)
