the viewer in digital cameras are also used in Camcorders. Camcorders often allow you to flip the viewer over so you can see yourself when standing in front of the camera. so the pin on the chip that controls this reversal function is shorted or damaged and you should get your camera replaced under warrantee.

i have an old Sony Mavica that did this but i used to be able to shake the camera and clear the problem. now the reversal does not go away, makes composing a picture a challenge! The pictures themselves come out normal, it is just a display problem.

Have you had too much to drink? Just kidding!

Does your camera have a screen that flips out to view at a different angle? If so, the switch that tells the camera that the screen is flipped over could be stuck. It would be a small pin or button under where the LCD pops out from.

If your camera does not have a flip out screen, it is a problem in the electronic circuitry and probably needs to be repaired.

Load them onto your computer and see what they look like then. Hopefully it's just the camera.
