Suck it up, drive over there, and hand them over.
I'd also hand over a final warning saying either he chills, or you're out of there.

You are right to be wary; his behaviour is intimidating and he has no right to treat you like this. You need to let this guy know you are not interested in him AT ALL and that must include not spending time together as 'just friends'.
Unfortunately this behaviour needs to be confronted; sounds like he texts you constantly but you haven't told him to back off yet. So here's what you can do - if you know his address, why don't you post it over with a note saying "Here are your jackets back, thanks for the loan. I really need my own space just now, so please respect this as a friend and don't get in touch again until I ask you to" or something along those lines. With intimidating men like this you need to be polite but direct. Don't get angry or upset.
If he makes and effort to see you always make sure you are with friends; arrange to meet in a busy place. He sounds like he could have anger issues, and you will feel less intimidated if you feel supported. if he turns up at your house uninvited and you are alone, do NOT let him in.
Don't let him scare you, call on your friends, be brave. Good luck!

Put then in a box and mail them, simple. You are right to end this relationship as he sounds extremely obsessive. That is not healthy. You need friends and family and he doesn't appear to feel safe enough with others demanding your time. I would be cautious regarding this matter. Alert family and friends of this issue with him so that in case he doesn't stop you can let others know. Document as best you can incidents as they happen. There are stalking laws in this country now and are strongly enforced. If you feel this is the case, then run not walk to your local authorities and advise them of this problem. It appears that he is not letting go. That can be dangerous. Please, please talk to people that care about you. Don't just assume it will go away once he has his jackets returned to him. Play it safe always.

Mail back the jackets with a let's be friends type letter, Life is to short to be dealing with a jealous person! Dump him and move on to someone you are more conferrable with and makes you happy!

Box them up. Put them in the mail. Then call him and let him know that you don't want to see him anymore and that his jackets will be delivered to him.
Don't give him any room to change your mind. Don't be mean, but be firm.
If he's really obsessed you should try to be sure you aren't alone too often.

Girl, The best thing to do. Especially if you don't want to see him or have anything to do with him, send it through the mail. The furthest you'll have to drive is to your nearest Post Office. And you don't have to worry about hearing from him at all.

Go to the post office and use one of their flat rate priority mail boxes for around $10. Cram them in the box and mail it!
