How do you make a homemade inexpensive mud rub for hands?

We are having Bible School next week, and we are trying to replicate the Sea of Galilee, and the markets around there. I am in charge of doing a Spa(or mineral springs bath) and we would like to do salt scrubs and mud....just on the hands or feet. I have a salt recipe but cant find a way to inexpensively do the mud thing. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I know that different types of mud/clay have different benefits, based on their ingredients. I would guess you'd have to use a search engine to find out where you can get samples of the kind of dirt/mud is/was in that area.
