I follow Christ. I believe in all that the Gospel teaches. I follow His commandments. I am by no means perfect but I strive for perfection. If that does not make me a Christian then what am I?

in the end it is tradition, when I was a child the Catholics i knew did not want to be called Christians at all they were Catholics, and wanted to not just depict any link to following Christ as you say you "believe in all that the Gospel teaches" but to put the Catholics ahead of the protestant daughter.
and now I see many Catholics wishing to go by the Christian title, and it seam to be confusing the rest. after so long of wanting to keep separate it is a hard habit to break, for them.

this is just what I have seen and experienced as I am not either Catholic or protestant, but still fall under the title Christian too.

I think its harder for a Catholic to be a disciple of Christ, because I believe there are problems with many of the teachings of the Catholic Church. Most of my friends growing up were Catholic, but they were no disciples of Christ. I believe the church helped to push them in the way of tradition and away from true relationship with God.

As for salvation, the road is narrow. But I know that many Catholics will be there with the many Protestants.

For those who don't believe ANY Catholics will be in Heaven, I challenge you to read "Ragamuffin Gospel" by Brennan Manning. The author is Catholic...but I do not think anyone can read this beautiful book about God's grace and NOT believe in Manning's genuineness.

You are a Christian true and true. In my opinion you are strong supporter of Christs teaching and you will be saved and will enjoy eternal life with God. Anyone who states you are not a Christians is sadly wrong and is not following Christs teachings. We followers of Jesus should not deny any follower and should embrace all Christians including Catholics. Lets not divide are Christian brother and sisters, we should rejoice and be glad that we all follow our savior Jesus Christ. Amen
GOD BLESS!

I don't agree with Christian Doctirne but its pretty clear on if you follow and recieve Jesus Christ that makes you Christian, so that very much makes Catholics Christian.

It is funny. I am a Protestant, and I have attended Protestant churches for 20 years. Yet, I have only heard a couple of Protestants ever say that Catholics were not Christians... and they were pretty wacky people anyway.

That is not to say that people don't say it, but I am beginning to suspect that these idiots are in a very small minority. Unfortunately, the most bizarre and extreme fundamentalists tend to be the loudest and most obnoxious people, despite their small numbers. In any case, I consider you to be as Christian as any Protestant.

Have a good one!

An individual whose faith keeps her grounded, hopefully at peace with herself and her surroundings. This frame of mind is a small accomplishment , and is where i find solace and contentment in a world racked with many societal ills. The world is by no means perfect. I am not perfect , nor do i expect others or the world to emulate or attain perfection. Am i not a christian?

If you accept Christ's path to Heaven, you are a Christian.

"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father, but by Me."

This is all that matters. Denominations (Catholic, Lutheran, Baptist, whatever) are nothing to Him as long as you accept Him as Lord.

If you say you are Christian than be what you feel you are. NO one is perfect, except Christ himself. Just be open to the holy spirit, and have an open mind so that Jesus can use you the way he wants to. dont ever question on what you are, the bible says that whom ever believes he died on the cross and rose again is saved. all you need to know is that Christ loves you and will give you all the desire of your heart

honestly, if you are a good person, what does it really matter what classification of religion you are in. catholic, christian, jewish, buddhist, we're all the same. trying to put yourself into one classification and excluding others only pushes people farther away, we should be striving to bring the world closer together.
