Most religions claiming to be Christian are false. Camouflage like in those movies when the torpedo is heading for the sub and it deploys "countermeasures" meant to confuse the torpedo into believing there were many targets.
Matt. 24: 23-26 Jesus shows many people would be calling themselves Christ or Christ followers for the purpose of misleading many. They are from their father, the Devil. So, of course, they preach hate.

Because some "Christians" take things too far. For example, self-righteous priests/pastors have made rules about what you can wear or not wear, eat or not eat, say or not say. What they should be focusing on is studying the Word and telling of Christ's LOVE and His Sacrifice on the cross. Many people start preaching the 'rules' before telling of the LOVE.
We are human. Just becuase we accept Christ, we are not perfect - YET. We're still working on it. And because of this, we are not always as we should be. Please forgive us.

Because religion is not a relationship with God. God is love.

Love is a spiritual ideal to strive for.
Hate is political in nature. If you say it is for God then the people will fulfill your expectations of them. Hate is a tool for control.

The vast majority of the Bible is about God hating people and having them destroyed.

Religion is not faith, and Jesus did not hate, and to know the son is to know the father.... and I will pray for your understanding of Christ and that is a start.... through Christ you will start to understand the father. But have faith and be well.
