If it's an outdoor wedding, don't wear high heels (you'll get stuck in the grass). It's a celebration, so whatever color suits you and whatever style of dress is becoming (but not too revealing) will make you look great. Since you're not there trolling for a man then you can just enjoy the day and not worry too much about your clothes. Keep your hair simple, your makeup light, and enjoy the party. Oh, do ask your bf what he's wearing -- you don't want to match, but you at least want to look like you showed up together. : )

I'd go with my leather micro mini skirt, fishnet stockings, thigh high stillettos and tonnes of makeup. Dont forget the riding crop and bustier.....Nah seriously....wear something that you are totally comfortable in. Nothing too sexy, and nothing too tight. you dont want to be stressing about showing too much cleavage or pulling at your clothing all the time. You need to be able to be yourself therefore you need to be comfortable.
Go with a pretty dress and keep the hairstyle simple. A pretty diamonte clip sweeping the front back maybe? Good luck, you'll be fine. Dont be nervous. Oh and medium height heels. Dont go with anything too high, you dont want to be wobbling around, but flat shoes look frumpy. A nice medium level and if it is outside on grass remember that small heels sink into the ground, so a wedge is a better choice for outdoors.

If he has a sister, I would seek her advice. She knows her family the best.
Otherwise, Sunday weddings tend to be less formal. Go with an nice sundress and a simple updo. However, if the wedding is at a country club or hotel after 6pm, then break out the little black dress and some nice simple jewelry.

It doesn't hurt to call the bride and ask her about the kind of dress - it may be a white-tie affair. Doesn't hurt to ask.
However, it's always best to dress a little more conservatively than you would normally dress for a party. It's the bridal couple's big day. Save the show-off dress for another time.
Wear your best dress and a good hairstyle and smashingly good makeup - something you'd be proud to be seen in church. Wear comfortable shoes during the wedding - bring your dancing shoes for the reception.

Dressy and pretty but not too sexy - think just a little conservative. Don't wear white - that upstages the bride. A flowery sundress, or nice summer slacks and a pretty top. Think feminine, but no cleavage. Heels are good. For your hair, well, we don't know if it's short or long or what. If you can manage a nice updo, that always looks good.
Have fun and good luck!

i would dress up...wear a skirt and cute top w/heels....or dress, pants if its cold out. I wouldn't go out and buy a prom gown and I wouldn't wear sweats to a wedding, here is a website to help you
http://www.weddingbee.com/2006/08/14/what-to-wear-to-a-wedding/
....as for hairstyle...i'm creative and like to get all pretty...i would twist my hair back and put curls in the rest of my hair...you could opt to get your hair done by a professional, who says you can't go all out and look hott...i'm sure your boyfriend would love it!!!!
i don't know what you're hair type is, or i could give you more advice.......

allow your new husband help you out of your gown. This, suprisingly, will be sturdy foreplay. He has appeared at you all day/nighttime on your gown questioning about how eye-catching you look. i'm particular he has also theory about taking the gown off. delight in the instantaneous once you 2 are finally on my own and allow him help. Then, pass into the bathroom and turn into your undies.
