I think I heard somewhere that God was using the pharaoh Ramases to his advantage because he knew he was evil. I think I heard that God came to Ramases and told him what he was going to do and that he was then to let his people go and that this story would be living on and on. Am i right with any of this? I'm so confused. HELP!~

God did not come to Pharaoh in the Old Testament. He sent Moses to warn Pharaoh what would happen if he did not let the Israelites leave Egypt. Each time Pharoah hardened his heart and would not allow the people to leave Egypt. Finally God told Moses to tell Pharoah that he would cause the firstborn of Egypt to die. The Isrealites were to paint the door posts and lentils with Blood so that the Angel Of Death would passover their home. They were to eat a seder or special meal and that became the Jewish Holiday Of Passover.

Exodus 7:3 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

God hardened Pharaoh's heart.

Exodus 7:1 And the Lord said to Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.

Notice God told Moses he'd make him a "god" (with a little g) to Pharaoh.

Moses told Pharaoh all that God was going to do.

God did not come to the Pharaoh but he did harden his heart, "Yet Pharaoh's heart became hard and he would not listen to them, just as the Lord had said." (Exodus 7:13)
