Okay I am refining my question from yesterday

Who can give me some songs from 1967 that have to do witih wealth, power, sucess, or achievement?? I'd prefer if it wasn't too psychadelic. Something more mainstream people would have listened to maybe.,..

any ideas would be great. I've done alot of checking, and haven't found what I'm looking for yet.

It has to have been on an album or single released in 1967

Sigh.. This question is still open!! Don't you think I've looked at the top 100??

Pleasant Valley Sunday is a great song (I'm actually a huge Monkees fan) , and the lyrics are pretty close to the right message.. but the sound just isn't QUITE right... I love the words in "The Door into Summer" for wealth, etc, too, but the sound would be all wrong for the scene...

Sigh..

Any other suggestions? The best I've come up with is the Kinks "Mr. Pleasant" But I don't QUITE like it 100%% for what I'm looking for...

I'd love Carly Simon's "you're so vain" But totally wrong year..
