You have a great point. If someone wants faith to save humanity, maybe they should pray silently while they find ways to reduce their personal ecological footprint. You can pray all you want, but pray while you drive a gas efficient car.

Probably not. They gave us free Will for a reason. If we would get off our knees begging the Gods to fix it and put some work into ourselves, something might get done.
Careful. You have those here who think Global Warming is all a conspiracy. Like the world doesn't have anything better to do then lie about the ice caps.

We've been given freewill and responsibility. What we have built is a monster machine. Fossil fuels and various energies have made our lives comfortable and basically enslaved us. It would be nice if people stepped up and started thinking in a 'green' way. It would be great for me to see solar panels in place of power lines. I would embrace environmentally friendly means of transportation rather than having my lungs filled with smog when I ride my bike. What I wouldn't give to see natural herb medicine shops in place of pharmacies that thrive off our money with no clear balanced remedy to physical problems. In order to wind this down leaders are going to have to start caring...

I say to you- "God helps those, who help themselves."
Now take that any way you want to...
I say- start helping yourself and your World. Don't sit around and wait for some divine intervention. I am a believer that there is some higher power, but it sure isn't repairing the O-Zone, or growing more rain forests, or cleaning the air and water... Sounds like something us humans need to get crackin'! LOL

I believe as human beings we are responsible for what happens on earth because we have been entrusted by God to be responsible. I think it is blasphemy to rely on God to come and save while we neglect what He created .We must take steps and now before it is too late for D-Day is now.

We have been given all the tools and technology to do these things, but those who make big money from the drug industry and oil industries and the motor industries etc., don't want to give up their mega wages. We would have to sort out greed before we could get round to saving the planet. Big job!

You've surely heard that joke. about the guy who drowns waiting for god to save him and god sent him a boat and a helicopter and what not. They seem to not live by that lesson. Anyways I'm hearing that they feel that they don't have to worry about their environmental responsibility because they're god is coming back so it doesn't matter if the world dies..... sad.

I believe in God, but he will let us destroy ourselves because we have brought this upon ourselves. Some people ask, "How can God be so cruel." Well to quote God from an episode of Futurama, "If you do everything right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all."

Creation seems to occur within God and dissolves back in it.
Taking responsibility of mankind without expectation, opens out ways of experiencing this truth.

It’s up to us to undo the damage our parents and grandparents caused. There are so many ways our governments could fix the issue, and they choose instead to sit back, sip cognac and hope the problem will fix itself.
