i used to have nightmares of my boyfriend cheating on me with different girls and also i had this awful nightmares that he was trying to kill me with different cars in a dark field but i managed to escape in the dark forest and lookk back at him with a little smile

Either you don't trust him or you don't trust yourself in some way. Projecting him killing you is a way to deny reality. You looked back at him with a little smile. That seems like a relief to you because you subconsciously know it won't happen. That escape of yours is actually a reminder or conflict of your feeling.
Of course, I don't rule out this comes from a movie you watched lately.

In the long run... perhaps you would not place your entire trust in your boyfriend. Something in his manners would indicate the real colors of his personality.
