Give him a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide and make him swallow it, this will make him vomit. The cotton ball and whatever is on it needs to exit his system before it causes damage. If the first dose of peroxide doesn't do the trick, give another teaspoon. If he still does not vomit (usually happens immediately, but sometimes will take up to 15 minutes) please take him to your vet. The cotton could obstruct his bowel (a $700+ surgery, by the way) and the chemicals could poison him - both of which would kill him if left untreated.

Poor kitty. The ASPCA has a poison control hot line. The telephone number is (888) 426-4435. There is a $55 consultation fee for this service. Check with the web site.

I think the facial cleanser might not be a problem It's probably mostly oil. It's the cotton wad that might get "stuck". Instead of Vaseline, I would ask the vet for one of those flavored cat laxatives. You should have some around anyway for hairballs and such.

Take him to a vet. They should be open by now. If not, there are vet hospitals that open 24/7 where you can take him. I have a cat that also likes to eat cotton balls. For whatever reason, cats like the taste of cotton. I keep it away from her but sometimes she does grab one and runs with eat under the bed where I can't reach and she eats it. However, she's never eaten one w/ chemicals in it so she is Ok. If I were you, I would take him to the vet right now.

Your best bet is to call the vet and ask him or her. Make sure you have the bottle of facial cleanser on hand to let them know what it contains.

Watch him for a day or two. If he's still acting normal, I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you are worried make an appointment with your vet, just to make sure that everything is okay. Better safe than sorry right?

You should call the vet and ask if the cleanser could be poisinous. Make sure you have the bottle handy, as they will most likley need to know what exactly it is your kitty ate.
Good luck!

Well if you are so worried about it and it has happened before where a cat died cause he got into something he shouldn't have, then call the vet?

WC cleaner and stuff isn't a good thing to eat... But facial cleanser will do no major harm. After all - we use it on our skin! ;))) Your cat will probably get some indigestion but will be fine. Not to worry. All the best!!! ;))

It should pass, you may want to give kitty a pat of butter to help it long a bit quicker. If the cat seems to eat all sorts of inanimate objects please have your vet check it for a condition called Pico.

Well, just like a baby, when in doubt, ask a doctor, or in your case a vet. have the product container handy when you call and they'll be able to tell you if anything in it would be toxic..
Good luck.
