Good Morning Everyone, I was wondering if the Dallas Texas Police Department Had a Special Victumes Unit (SVU), or something pertaining to sex crimes, children and the elderly. I am asking because I would love to have more information about what degrees to get other than criminal justice. If anyone can help thank you so so much

Go to DallasPolice.Net to learn more, however, they do have a "Crimes Against Persons" unit which would be where the crimes against children and elderly are investigated.

A criminal justice degree would work fine to get your foot in the door with the Dallas PD and additional education in psychology would be extra help.

A new officer starts at the bottom like anywhere else, however, having the right tools, motivation, and drive will get you that position you seek quickly!

Best wishes.
