names should never be translated,it´s that sometimes it´s easier to pronounce it in the local way, so people understan your name, but that´s all !! You´re Samantha wherever you go in the world..
I teach English to Spanish kids and they´re always asking what their names are in English, I had 1 student whose name was Blanca, and her former teacher called her White, I mean how stupid is that??
