Unlike another answerer suggested, I very much doubt its cataracts. Cataracts usually only develop in very old people, and its permanent damage rather than an ocassional problem.
I'd say it was either due to [as another answerer suggested] the liquids of your eyes mixing together when they shouldn't be, or possibly a unique condition where white blood cells build up infront of the lens [for a variety of reasons] and can occlude your vision.
I strongly urge you to get your eyes checked up and tested very soon, vision is extremely important and eyes can be very difficult to test. If only for your own peace of mind, get them checked.

Do not wait around, we cannot heal our eyes once things go seriously wrong.
GO PROMPTLY TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN
OPHTHALMOLOGIST.(a medical Doctor for eyes.) NOT AN OPTOMETRIST.(they only prescribe glasses. )
Either you have vitreous gel (the stuff that fills the eye ball) breaking loose from the outer eye ball, or you could be developing a CATARACT. (That is what it sounds like)
I do not know you age. But if you are diabetic this is an urgent situation. Diabetics develop eye problems. Go VERY soon for a thorough exam. Sterile tears several times a day might help slightly, but that does not replace going to the doctor.
My husband is diabetic and has been through 5 eye surgeries to get his perfect vision back, thank God he has.
Best wishes. Yes it is costly if you do not have insurance or Medicare, but blindness is forever.
*********************************************************************
My education on the workings of the eye ball has happened in the last couple of months.
When your born your eye is filled with vitreous gel (like firm Jello) as you age it gets looser and can begin to let loose from the eye ball . This can cause cloudy pieces moving around in the vitreous fluid and sometimes flashing lights ( I had this two months ago and still have some cloudiness)
A vitrectomy emptys the eyeball and refills it with saline solution and the same time the Doctor repairs any problems inside of the of the eye.
Just be sure to go and find out what is wrong.

RE:
What should I do about cloudy eye problem?
My left eye keeps going cloudy at random times. It doesn't hrut but it obstructs my vision. Is there anything I could do in my day-to-day life to stop this without visiting a GP?

Get round cotton pads ( like the ones for removing Nail polish)
soak it in cold milk not so that it is dripping - lie down and place them on your eyelids - then remove once the coldness has gone.
You can repeat this process for a few minutes just before going to bed.
It does work - and no chemicals.

Look in a mirror when it happens, it could be "sleep" strings over your pupil, I used to get that a lot, if you get sleep strings directly over the front of your eye the way to get them out is to lift your eyelid up so that the sleep is pulled away from your eye enough to pull it away.
