Usually one of the 1st signs are no interest in food or playing. They whine, walk kinda humped like their hind end is being attacked (belly cramps), vomiting even though there is no food in their tummy, shake, some dogs hide, runny stool & needing a lot of extra attention. If you see any of these or they are just not acting right, you should check the area to be sure they haven't gotten into something then get them to the vet.

I wouldn't know if a dog gets a headache but when they have an upset stomach they often quit eating or eat quickly and throw up also they may eat grass although some dogs do that anyway.

You can see the different in change of your dog.
He is laying does not want to play, walk, not eating or drinking water. When you speak to your dog he does not bring is head up to you. The dog's eyes will be watering. There is a lot of changes in your dog if you know your dog well you will see when he is sick

If they're sick, a lot of the time their nose will be dry. If she has a stomachache, she may be eating grass, too. If she's more ill, she might be laying around the house more, and not be as lively as usual.
