What's your favorite color? What's your partner's favorite?
1]rose or red
2] peach or orange
3] lemon yellow
4] celery, sage, parsley green
5] turquoise, teal, or royal blue OR
6] purple!
7] I think gray, tan or brown would be very blah with this furniture.
Add curtains/pillows in the sofa or wall color or mix of both.
Use accessories [ lamps, ornaments, vase, candle ] in one of the colors.
Make all picture frames in similar style, ex: silver or gold, oak or walnut, red or teal. Then you can add, subtact, and rearrange whenever you want.
An area rug in one or two of the room colors will make it look great.

I would use a gold color. Then when you decorate, use accessories to blend it in. I think that black/silver are hard colors to match. Especially with a tan couch. Gold would probably work though.

You could use gold, sage green, or a beige. Then if you want something bold do an accent wall in a deep red. It really makes a statement without feeling too wild.
