find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Dieting does not have to be expensive at all. It mainly involves eating less and exercising more. For exercise, you can walk, either outside or in a mall. This is free. Most of the foods you should avoid are a lot more expensive than the ones you should eat - like veggies and fruit. You should avoid butter, high fat meat like steaks, etc. Chicken and tuna are a lot cheaper than that. You also need to drink a lot of water, which is something you already pay for, so it's basically free.

Good luck!

try to eat as many natural whole* foods that you can, vegetables, fruits, grains(not bread, like oats, lentels, etc) fish, chicken

and drink natural tea's, fruit juices, and lots of water to flush your system.

most of the fats today come from excessive amounts of sugars and saturated fats, so you don't have to eat less or "diet food" just eat real food.....and if you feel the urge to backslide to fast or fatty food, go for a walk or you can exercise or do yoga(one of the best ways i've found for a full body exercise)!

it is very important to stay away from supposed diet sweeteners(aspartame, nutri sweet) these are proved to cause neurological damage and some people think they cause cancer!!!
