Fixboot rewrites the OS boot sector on the hard drive. If a drive letter is not specified, the system drive is assumed.

Type the fixboot c: command when the boot sector is damaged.

Fixmbr rewrites the MBR boot program. This command is the same as Fdisk/MBR. Use this command when the MBR is damaged.
